Article 10: Symbolic Anthem of the Council
The Council recognizes the historical national anthem of the Islamic State of Afghanistan, during the government of Ustad Burhanuddin Rabbani, as its symbolic cultural and heritage anthem.

Anthem (Cultural Version)

Pinnacle of Islam, the heart of Asia,
Forever free, the land of Arya.
Birthplace of heroes, brave and true,
Stronghold of the faithful few.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar

With faith’s sword upon the field,
It tore apart the chains once sealed.
The free nation of Afghanistan,
Broke the bonds of the condemned by hand.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar

Each line of the Qur’an was our law,
The banner of faith our roof we saw.
With one voice, one heart, one song,
National unity our goal lifelong.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar

Live in joy, in peace, in freedom’s light,
O homeland bright with God’s law right.
Raise the torch of liberty high,
Guide the lost beneath the sky.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar

Note:
This anthem is adopted solely for cultural and historical representation. Its use within the Council is exclusively symbolic and bears no political, governmental, or military association of any kind.
